Conceptual Planning and Design Study
We have kicked off the CPC-funded study, with the engineering firm Fay, Spofford and Thorndike (FST). We’re very excited about the effort – these folks are pros, and have done many projects like this for other local communities, from which we can learn useful lessons.
Upcoming Meetings
Regular BCRT Needham meetings will be on the following dates, all in the same room at the PSAB on Dedham Ave. Though focused on the Needham of the trail, all are welcome to attend.
- Tuesday March 12th (7:30 pm)
- Wednesday April 24th (7:30 pm)
- Tuesday May 28th (7:30 pm)
There will also be a large meeting – big enough that Powers Hall in Town Hall has been reserved – on March 4th, also at 7:30 pm. Here the town will host a public workshop and invite all neighbors along both the Southern and Northern stretches. The real purpose is to convey our current state of knowledge on the project, and provide a forum where we can hear public concerns. Also, town departments and town meeting members will be invited. The meeting is open to the public, so all are welcome to attend.
Finally, sometime in mid April (still TBD), FST will host a public meeting – perhaps again in Powers Hall – where they will walk through their findings and preliminary report. This will give them a chance to vet the content, and hear from officials and residents alike where there may still be concerns.
